Who we are
Vineyards with soul
Mas Ballís wine is a reality resulting from a project with two objectives that have guided our steps to produce a quality red wine with a unique personality.
The first, to recover the vineyard in the municipality of Lladó, in Alt Empordà, with the aim of enriching, diversifying and preserving the environment and its landscape, and the biodiversity that this entails, aware that the fauna and flora of the vineyards is not something secondary.
With these principles we have produced an organic red wine, with Grenache and Syrah, that speaks to the mouth with the language of its natural environment.
The second objective was to turn the return of the vine to Lladó into an event with its own cultural and social component, like what winemaking has always meant in the Mediterranean. Therefore, we wanted to find a way to involve the people of the town from day one.

The Lladó City Council was immediately receptive to the idea and we agreed that a good way would be to do it through the participation of the school. The pedagogical path was to include the discovery of the vineyard as a commitment based on knowledge of the town where we live. This was materialized in the participation of the students in the planting of the vines and the annual monitoring of the evolution of the vineyard until the first harvest.
